The Ethiopian Tourism Organization (ETO) is set to highly promote Ethiopia’s tourism potential at home and globally in the remaining fourth quarter of this Ethiopia fiscal year.
The Organization has allocated 5.5 million birr for promotional activities.
Jemal Kedir, deputy director general of the Organization, told ENA recently that efforts will be made to promote Ethiopia’s tourism potential to the global community via media which have international reaches.
He further said works will be made to effectively promote the Amharic version of ‘Land of Origin’, which means ‘Midre kedemt,’ for domestic tourists by printing the new logo on various materials and gift items.
President of Ethiopian Tour Operators Association, Yacob Melaku, for his part said members of the association will do their parts to build the image of the country by promoting the new logo and the nation’s tourist sites.
Tourist standard hotel are expanding across the country said Zenawi Mesfin, deputy president of Ethiopian Hotels Owners Association, adding his association has been conducting promotional activities in different countries by preparing a hotel guide.
He further said the association will fulfill its responsibility in promoting the new brand, which properly represent the country.
