Belayab Motors, one of the car assembling firms in Ethiopia, launched KIA’s Rio and Picanto ‘Tiger Nose” models of sedan vehicles. The vehicles are assembled in Adama City, Oromia State.
It was almost months back that Belayab Motors concluded distributorship agreement with the South Korean KIA Motors Corporation. The agreement gave KIA the right to Belayab assemble as well as sell KIA’s sedan cars, sports utility vehicles (SUV) and multipurpose vehicles (MPV) in Ethiopia.
In addition to Rio and Picanot vehicles, Belayab intends to launch by the coming fiscal year other KIA models such as Cerato, Sportage and Soul SUV and MPV.
