A US-Ethiopia business dialogue forum is currently underway in Addis Ababa at the Sheraton Addis.
The forum is an engagement platform to raise awareness of Ethiopia’s recent economic reform and emerging investment opportunities, accelerate American investments and envision a new future of engagement between the two countries.
In a twitter post, Abebe Abebayehu, Commissioner of the Ethiopian Investment Commission, said that the forum is a follow up to the US-Ethiopia Partnership Forum held in Washington DC last May
The first ever US-Ethiopia Partnership Forum (EPF) was held on May 15-16, 2019.
It brought together over 400 leaders from the private and public sector in the United States and a delegation of Ethiopian policymakers to present their insights on ways to strengthen bilateral and regional engagement.
The action-oriented forum was comprised of two days of interactive panels, inspirational keynotes, networking sessions, and announcements of opportunities for post-forum implementation.
The design of the event was driven by a need to develop revenue-generating deals in specific sectors that will benefit both Americans and Ethiopians by fostering trade, investment, growth, and job creation.
The EPF was a unique opportunity to understand the dynamic changes taking place in Ethiopia, with a focus on formulating future business strategies and building strategic partnerships.
