The Ministry of Foreign Affairs said yesterday that Israeli companies expressed readiness to explore lucrative investment possibilities in Ethiopia.
After holding discussion with Israeli business delegation State Minister Dewano Kedir told journalists that Israeli companies express interest to invest in Ethiopia in various sectors after conducting feasible studies.
The State Minister explained opportunities that exist in various sectors in the country. The government is committed and ready to welcome any foreign companies especially in manufacturing sector in the years to come.
“The government gives priority to those who showed interest to engage in the manufacturing sector as it is among top priorities of the government GTP II,” he added.
Israeli Ambassador to Ethiopia Belaynesh Zevadia also said that the delegates are happy with what they have observed and realized that there exists vast investment opportunity in Ethiopia. The companies would invest in various sectors like agro-processing, she added.
The Ambassador also said that the Embassy would do its level best in providing the necessary information to those interested in exploring opportunities in Ethiopia.
