The organizing committee of the Omani Products Exhibition (OPEX) met recently to discuss preparations for the next edition, which is scheduled to be held in Addis Ababa, Ethiopia, next April.
The meeting hailed the support received from H E Dr. Ali al Sunaidy, Minister of Commerce and Industry. The committee also welcomed the support of the Oman Chamber of Commerce and Industry, the Public Establishment for Industrial Estates and the Public Authority for Investment Promotion and Export Development, a press release said on Sunday.
The committee noted that Ethiopia was selected due to its promising market where significant opportunities are available for investors. The committee looks forward to the positive outcomes of the next exhibition by achieving the desired objectives of entering the African market.
The most recent OPEX event was held in Jeddah in 2015 where around 120 companies showcased their products. OPEX events were also held in Riyadh, Saudi Arabia in 2012; Dohar, Qatar in 2013; and Dubai, UAE in 2014.
