The first Partners Meeting of the Initiative for Food and Nutrition Security in Africa (IFNA) will be held from May 18- 19, 2017, in Addis Ababa, Ethiopia.
The Initiative was launched by the Japan International Cooperation Agency (JICA) at a side event of the sixth Tokyo International Conference on African Development (TICAD VI), held in Africa for the first time.
IFNA aims to achieve food and nutrition security in Africa with a particular focus on the region south of the Sahara Desert.
The Addis Ababa event will provide an opportunity to share good practices, challenges and lessons among partners based on the common understanding of IFNA’s goals, according to NEPAD.
