The Ethiopia Climate innovation Center (ECIC) awarded 7 entrepreneurs who have viable businesses that can be model in the context of climate technology development, deployment or transfer.
The Center through its Proof of Concept (POC) grants awarded today the entrepreneurs 25,000 to 50,000 USD.
The grants aim to facilitate product development, prototyping, testing and/or piloting of a product or service to enable the entrepreneur to prove that the idea/business model is viable in a technical and commercial sense.
Technologies or business models funded under the POC Competition are expected to demonstrate potential positive impact to the environment and community through mitigation or adaptation of climate challenges in agribusiness, water and sanitation or renewable energy sectors.
