Elman Abdullayev, Azerbaijani Ambassador to Ethiopia disclosed investors from his country are expressing their interest to engage in Ethiopia’s investment sectors, Ethiopian News Agency (ENA) reported. Ambassador Abdullayev told ENA his countrymen are looking into options to invest in Ethiopia. Currently, they are asking information from government institutions to sort out areas of engagement, he asserted.
The investors had been given information on agriculture, manufacturing, agro-processing, trade, tourism, education and other areas, the Ambassador noted. Topography and weather conditions are factors that bring foreign investors to Ethiopia, said Abdullayev.
Diplomatic relationship between Ethiopia and Azerbaijan was established in November 1992 before they experience break off in between. Azerbaijan Embassy has been reopened last March in Ethiopia. The Republic of Azerbaijan is found at the intersection of Eastern Europe and Western Asia.
